Biography:

Farah Khan was born to Kamran a successful stunt film maker and her mother Menaka was a home maker. She has a brother Sajid Khan who is also part of showbiz.

Farah Khan was inspired by Michael Jackson and then she took dancing as her profession.

She learned to dance basically on her own, and set up a dance group. When the top choreographer of the time, Saroj Khan walked out of the film Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar, Farah got her break, and this was her first film to choreograph.

Farah Khan later turned director with Main Hoon Na which was produced by Gauri Khan. The film was a huge success. Her second movie Om Shanti Om became the highest grossing Hindi film of all time at its time of release.

Farah recently made roars after choreographing the chartbuster song Munni Badnam from Dabngg and Sheila Ki Jawani from Tees Maar Khan.

Unfortunately her film Tees Maar Khan received negative reviews but was a semi hit at the box office.

Farah Khan got married to Shirish Kunder, the editor of her film Main Hoon Na, on 9 December 2004. They have since worked together on each other’s films, such as Jaan-E-Mann, Om Shanti Om, and Tees Maar Khan. Biography:

Kajal was born in Mumbai to Suman Agarwal and Vinay Agarwal. She has a sister named Nisha Aggarwal, has also begun to act in Telugu films. She finished her studies in Mumbai. The actress started her modeling career while she was in college.

She was first seen in Kyon Ho Gaya Na in as supporting role in 2004. She does not consider this film as her debut. In 2007, she made her debut in the Telugu film industry and played her first leading role in Teja’s Lakshmi Kalyanam alongside Kalyan Ram, which did not fare well at the box office.

Later that year, she appeared in the Krishna Vamsi-directed film Chandamama, which opened to positive reviews and became her first major successful film.

She made a mark in the industry in 2009, with the the high-budget Telugu historical drama Magadheera, which saw her essaying double roles for the first time. The film, directed by S. S. Rajamouli, received universal critical acclaim, while Kajal, particularly, was praised for her portrayal of a princess in the film. Later the same year she was seen in Arya 2 again a Telugu film with Mahesh Babu. Her performance garnered positive feedback for her role in Arya 2. In 2010 she starred in three films which include Darling, Naan Mohaan Alla, Brindavanam.

In 2011 she got her first break in Singham opposite Ajay Devgn. The film turned out to be the highest grosser of the year.

Juhi Chawla was born to Dr. S. Chawla and Mona Chawla in Punjab. Her father is Punjabi and her mother was Gujarati. She also has a brother named Sanjeev. Uhi Chawla lost her mother who passed away in an accident during the year 1998 while Juhi was filming Duplicate.

Juhi completed her schooling from Ludhiana and was graduated from Sydenham College, Mumbai with a specialization in HR.

After graduating, she entered in the Miss India competition and was crowned ‘Miss India 1984. Chawla ventured into films with the 1986 Sultanat. Biography:

Kangana Ranaut was born in a small town called in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. Her mother Asha is a school teacher, and her father Amardeep, a businessman. She has an elder sister, Rangoli and a younger brother, Akshit.

Kangana spent her childhood in Dehra Dun and studied in DAV’s High School. After completing her schooling, she attended Science College in Simla. She was enrolled in the Elite School of Modeling, and also tried some theater acting in Delhi and was a member of the Smita Theater Group under Arvind Gaur.

She is also a trained Kathak dancer.

She decided to re-locate to Bombay, and lived in a flat in Yari Road, Versova. Then during September 2005, she was spotted drinking coffee in a caf by Film-maker Anurag Basu, who approached her, and eventually signed her up for a lead role in ‘Gangster’ which was released during the year 2006.

In 2008 she did Fashion directed by Madhur Bhandarker starring Priyanka Chopra in the lead. Kangana’s portrayal of a supermodel fetched her various awards, including the prestigious Filmfare Best Supporting Actress Award and National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Her last successful film was Tanu Weds Manu (2011) a romantic comedy that was a box office success.
Controversy:

She was in when she appeared nude for the cover of a film magazine. She said that there is nothing wrong with the pictures because she has body suits with no vital organs seen. She added that she hasn’t posted nude. In spite of the all the rumour has created, she is not disappointed because she knows that this is part of her profession.

She is known as the Rangeela Girl in Bollywood. Almost all her films with Ram Gopal Verma have turned out to be a hit.

Biography:


Urmila Matondkar began her career as a child artiste with the film Kalyug (1980). Although an average film at the box-office, she was known for her role in Massom (1983).

She made her adult debut as an actress with the film Bade Ghar Ki Beti. She next starred in the fantasy film Chamatkar, along with Shahrukh Khan.

She went on to frequently collaborate with film director Ram Gopal Verma, who is known for his thrillers. Her first film with him was Antham, which was a bilingual film and was titled as Drohi (1992 film) in (Hindi). She has also made her appearance in Doordarshan Serial Bible Ki Kahaniyan. Since then, she has starred in numerous subsequent RGV pictures, like Gaayam (Telugu), her 1995 musical hit Rangeela. She played a star-struck dancer in the film, and received her first Filmfare Best Actress Award nomination for her performance in the film. Following RGV projects were Anaganaga Oka Roju (1997), Daud (film) (1997), Satya (1998), Kaun (1999), Mast (2000), Jungle (2000), Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya (2001), Bhoot (2003), and Ek Hasina Thi (2004).

In 1997 her film Judaai was a hit but her other releases such as Daud and Aflatoon were not as successful.

In 1998, she earned critical acclaim for her performance in Satya. In 1999, she got rave reviews for her performance as a pschycopath in Kaun. Later she saw further success with Jaanam Samjha Karo, Hum Tum Pe Marte Hain and Khoobsurat, all moderate successes at the box office.

In 2008, Urmila was seen with Himesh Reshammiya in a remake of the 1980 film Karz, titled Karzzz. Even though the film flopped miserably at the box office, Urmila was praised for her acting and adding her own flavour to the role of Kamini. That year also marked Urmila’s debut on Indian television as a host of a reality show named Waar Parriwar.

Biography:

Lara was born in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India, on April 16, 1978. Her dad is retired Wing Commander L.K. Dutta and her mother is Jennifer Dutta.

In 1981 the Dutta family re-located to Bangalore, and she was enrolled in St. Francis Xavier Girls’ High School where she studied till her 10th Standard, and later did her First Year and Second Year Junior College at the Frank Anthony Public School. After graduating from school, she then went on to earn a degree in Economics from Bombay University.

Later was crowned Femina Miss India Universe and Miss Universe in 2000. After completing her Miss Universe commitments, she received several offers from Bollywood movie makers, and starred in Andaaz in 2003, which won her considerable recognition.

She then appeared in a number of films, some of which failed at the box office and some of which were mildly successful. Her box office “hits” include Masti (2004), No Entry (2005), Partner (2007) and Housefull (2010)
In 2011, her first movie as a producer Chalo Dilli released which did an average business at the box office.

Currently she is gearing up for her latest film Don 2 with Shah Rukh Khan.
Personal Life:

In September 2010, Lara got engaged to Indian tennis player, Mahesh Bhupathi. They got married on February 16, 2011 in a civil ceremony in Bandra, and later followed it by a Christian ceremony on 20 February 2011 at Sunset Point in Goa.

Jyothika Sadanha, one of the top actress of Tamil film industry, is the daughter of producer Chander Sadanha and sister of actress Nagma. Though she debuted with the Bollywood film 'Doli Sajake Rakhna' (1998), the chubby actress from the North, made it big in the Southern film industry. She was introduced as a supporting actress in the super hit Tamil film 'Vaalee' (1999) for which she received the Best Newcomer Award.
